Privacy Policy

Effective Date: July 21, 2026 · Last Updated: July 21, 2026

This is a working draft while formal legal review is in progress. We'll notify account holders and ask for re-acceptance once that review is complete.

CutsToConnect ("we," "us," or "our") provides a software platform that helps barbershops and salons ("Shops") manage bookings, walk-in queues, client relationships, and marketing communications. This Policy explains what information we collect, why, and who can see it.

1. Information We Collect

From Shop Staff: name, login email, service pricing, and Stripe billing identifiers (never full card numbers).

From End Clients (a Shop's own customers): name, phone number, requested service and notes, appointment history, walk-in queue status, marketing-consent status, a referral code (and, if you were referred, which code you used), and — only if you choose to provide it — a .edu email address to verify student status for a Shop's student discount. All of this is collected through a Shop's booking widget, in-shop kiosk, or added by Shop staff.

The walk-in queue kiosk displays a waiting customer's first name on screen so they can see their place in line — phone numbers are never shown.

2. How We Use It

To run scheduling, walk-in queue management, and client records; to bill Shops via Stripe; to let Shops send marketing texts to their own consenting clients; and to secure the platform, including keeping each Shop's data isolated from every other Shop's.

We do not sell personal information.

3. Who We Share It With

4. Retention and Deletion

We retain records for as long as a Shop's account is active. A Shop's administrator can permanently delete a Shop's account and all associated data — this is irreversible. End Clients should contact the Shop that holds their record, or us, to request removal.

5. Text Messages and Consent

Shops may send promotional texts only to clients whose consent is recorded in our system. Clients may opt out of promotional texts at any time by replying STOP to any message. Opt-outs are recorded automatically and honored immediately.

TCPA review required — see legal/LEGAL_RESEARCH_CHECKLIST.md for the full statute/case list.

6. Security

Encrypted transmission, per-account authentication, and database-level isolation so each Shop's records are separated from every other Shop's. No system is perfectly secure.

7. Children

Not directed to children under 13. We delete any such information we learn we've collected.

8. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your information. Contact mafrischer@gmail.com.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy. Material changes will be communicated to Shop account holders.
